The Messe Düsseldorf, the city’s conference center, was the home of the 25th Congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis.    The Rathaus (Town Hall) in Düsseldorf was built in 1573 and is situated in the middle of the Old Town on Markplatz (a street full of shops and restaurants). Düsseldorf is the capital of the Germany federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia.     The Rheinturm Düsseldorf is a 790-foot high concrete telecommunications tower built in 1981. It houses a revolving restaurant and is the tallest building in Düsseldorf.
